About
I have been working on new recording since mid-July and mixing those recordings for the last month. All that is left is mastering and this section of inspiration will be completed.
All of the tracks on these recordings are electric bass only - no other instrumentation was utilized to keep this document as close to a live performance as possible. Of course, there are plenty of effects and loops, but most of this was performed live in a bass sanctuary. Some of the tracks have three inputs and most have four, allowing for the full dynamic range of the instrument, effects, amplifiers, and room to evolve and to develop.
After hours of mixing and listening, these recordings are the best interpretation of bass that I have ever heard, as they capture the feel of standing in front of a wall of bass amps and speakers at high volume.
The sounds on the recording are the sounds I heard standing in the midst of this bass assault - I hope I did them justice. Also, eternal thanks to my friend, host, and engineer Matt Johnson, who allowed me to take over his live room for weeks on end and helping me achieve this final product.
I hope these tracks lead listeners to a state of mind that I found when creating them.
All the best.
