Nikoloz Gvakharia (aka Derek Bo), is a Dj, Producer, Keyboardist, Vocalist and Guitarist currently a resident Dj in Club Gabana and second resident in Pacha Madrid. His first contact with music started at the age of 7 in a school belonging to the Music Conservatory of Georgia, where for seven long years he mastered the art of performing classical piano pieces. Deciding to quit classical music school at the age of 13, Nikoloz starts taking private lessons from experienced piano teachers in Jazz, the direction which he would pursue for the next few years. The further discovery of the world of electronic music encourages the young artist to start playing with guitars, synthesizers, Deejaying and music recording software. This gives him a better vision of music production, where he starts discovering in himself a potential of composition. After graduating from highschool, Nikoloz enters a bachelors degree in Music Production and Composition in "Academia de Musica Fermatta" an affiliate school to Berklee College of Music in Boston. Later he goes to Barcelona to master the art of production in a prestigious school Microfusa, where he obtains a certificate in Electronic Music Production and Professional DJ. Currently living in Madrid and having been a resident Dj in clubs such as Moma, Shoko, New Garamond, and Pacha Nikoloz has decided to focus his energies on music production due to his past knowledge of musical theory and recently mastered knowledge in the current tendencies of electronic music. Yet unaffiliated with any particular music label, Nikoloz is working on his first album which is full of positive vibes and pleasant melodies. Nikoloz also has another project more focused on Dance Music.
