Nikoloz Gvakharia (aka Derek Bo), is a Dj, Producer, Keyboardist and Guitarist currently residing in Madrid, Spain. His first contact with music started at the age of 7 in a school belonging to the Music Conservatory of Georgia, where for seven long years he mastered the art of performing classical piano pieces. Deciding to quit classical music school at the age of 13, Nikoloz starts taking private lessons from experienced piano teachers in Jazz, the direction which he would pursue for the next few years, until he listens to Jamiroquai - a band which would practically mark the direction of his musical career.
The further discovery of the world of electronic music during the teenage years confuses the young artist making him reflect on the future of music as such and the right direction he should take in order to succeed in the highly competitive musical environment. Playing with synthesizers, music recording software and picking up the guitar gives him a better vision of music production, where he starts discovering in himself a potential of composition.
After graduating from highschool, Nikoloz enters a bachelors degree in Music Production and Composition in a musical academy and later goes to Barcelona to master the art of production in a prestigious school Microfusa, where he obtains a certificate in Electronic Music Production and Professional DJ.
Currently living in Madrid and having mixed in clubs such as Moma, Shoko and New Garamond, Nikoloz has decided to focus on music production due to his past knowledge of musical theory and recently mastered knowledge in the current tendencies of electronic music.
Yet unsigned, Nikoloz is working on his first album which is full of positive vibes and energies which according to him is aimed to be a live act, which will feature him playing several different instruments live!
