you really captured that eighties-melancholy-synth-vibe there, great sounds
- Der Derian on October 24, 2009 11:39
@Hermetic: not deliberately aiming for 80s sound, but guess that's what I'm naturally drawn towards. thanks for the listen and comment

cool track
- Der Derian on November 04, 2009 18:59
@zander: thanks very much mate (having a listen with some decent headphones and thinking this needs a fair bit of work)
-
@Der Derian: I think that thickening the bass would help, as well as some quick pad sweeps(multi-oscs, high attack). I like the flow of the track anyway, good work.

The beat forces me to reinterpret where I thought the repeating melody's start beat is. Really wish I could blast the volume on this awesome track, but that's a sacrifice I have to make when listening late at night.

- Der Derian on September 19, 2009 19:07

I like it. I misunderstood the timing at first, but now that I know what's up and down, so to speak, the whole thing sounds very nice. I like the instruments.

I really like that tune. Unfortunately i had to listen to it on my laptop speakers so i cannot say anything about the mix. I think the end of song needs some work. Good job!
- Der Derian on July 10, 2009 06:20
@pimp: Thanks for the comment. Absolutely agree that the end needs working on. Mix might be a bit on the rough side too, but overall I'm pretty pleased with this track.

For some reason, this part reminds me of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. I'm trying to figure out why. Dr. Horrible is awesome by the way, just throwin' that out there.

You get good tension it reminds me of a cross between Trentemoller and Lifelike i would like to see a drop and then build it back up
- Der Derian on April 20, 2009 12:24
@will666: Cheers for the comment Craig. A drop / build up certainly would make the track come to life a bit more, but I wanted to keep it simple
-

i feel like this fades out just as it gains momentum, but it sounds nice
- Campadrenalin on July 27, 2009 01:51
@Lunchtray: I agree on both counts, I have this thing for strong endings, partly because fadeouts sound unfinished and leave the song trailing in my head.

Pulled me in with the beat and the echo, front end a bit long but the bright accent area was great. Do more!

Current mental image: McGyver setting an ingenious trap for the bad guys after him, using a TV tube, a coat hanger, a spool of yarn, and hydrochloric acid.
@Campadrenalin: bit mental, but I like it. thanks a lot man
