THE SOUND / THE HISTORY

After a gold record (AZNMSK 2) and more than 50 releases as well as countless gigs all over Europe, Dementia returned to Hanover in 2010, where he had started his career in producing music.
Four years ago he went to Vienna in order to polish up his breakthrough in the world of Drum and Bass. Before turning his pseudonym from “Insanity” to “Dementia” in 2006 he was well-known for being a producer of Oldschool-Breakbeat music. Apart from several releases on his label called “Reanimation”, he also worked for Luna C’s cult-label “Knite Force”. After this he
decided to dedicate himself to Drum and Bass music, which brought his first success with the release of two of his tracks (Trippin Balls & Sunk) by DJ Trace and his label “DSCI4″. Off the back of this success Dementia started working constantly on other tracks, which were finally released by labels, such as Citrus, Disturbed, Shadow Law and Icarus-Audio.
During his stay in Austria, Dementia
spent most of the time working together with Rregula. After three flourishing years of cooperation (2006-2009), both of them decided to work on an album. This decision was made in 2010 and it took them two years of hard work doing the best they could until their debut album “Echoes from the Future” was finally released in July 2011. Published by Trust in Music it also contains various top-notch feature guests, such as Optiv, Smooth as well as Trei.
