Imagine David Bowie, Ian Curtis and Chris Isaak stick together on a gunboat upstream towards Colonel Kurtz. What sound would accure? Since it is mostly hard to describe a musical style by avoiding "Indie", Déesse [deˡɛs] collect quirky neologisms such as Chillout Punk, Independent Romantic or simply Post Wave or Dark Pop, which shall contain elements of rough punk guitars, impulsive beats and heavy bass as well as tender and fragile melodies, reduced structures and yearning lyrics carried by the crooning, deep dark voice of the singer.

In february 2011 they recorded and produced their first EP. It rather represents a severe, lyrical and quiet dark side of the band.
Currently Déesse is working with Admiral James T. on their 2nd EP with new material, which will be released in spring 2012.
Déesse always endeavoured playing live and did successfully master local concerts as well as they developed and improved their style, for example by involving more and more upright bass, synthesizers and even string arrangements. However the repertoire is big by now and contains up-tempo and danceable tunes …and of course, now and then some grains of irony.
