techno house hardware machinedrum nord modular g2 neo ouija fieldrecording
dark and at least for my standards minimal tune from my upcoming album (still unsigned!). most elements recorded live with Nord Modular G2 and Machinedrum UW. mostly finished, will maybe tweak it a bit to make it more dj-friendly.

Mmmh... I do like the first 2/3 of the track, however, when the layers set in up front in the last part I kind of lost the track. Maybe you can add some extra straight beats in the middle to make the whole sound tighten up before you start the long fade out. I don't think that this is a dark one. I've heard way darker ones from you, Mr. RNP.

the transition from the melody to this pad-y part makes this track stand out a little, though i would hope the melody would do something else than shift a semitone or two..

@opuswerk: cheers - yeah in hindsight i definitely should've loosened the rhythm pattern a bit.. damn my lazyness, I just want the mk2 for the 4 bars! the nord plays and sequences the chord, which at times is resampled by a RAM machine on the MD and sent back into the G2 for the delays and physical-modding "scratchy" chord sounds.

great vibe and atmosphere. I'd add a slight more varied variations on every 16th, just to emphasize the loop and keep the momentum going. Maybe drop the snare for a tad more. Btw what is the Nord doing? did you control it using a MIDI machine on the MD?

@BassWorte: thanks :) that's the part of the synth jam that defines the tune for me! it's a nord modular g2 line resampled by the machinedrum then back to the g2 for fx - wish I could pull it off live at will :p

super cool! so wie das bei mir das groesste problem ist, aber ich wuerde so alle 16 bars oder so mal den chord droppen und mal kurz modulieren :) hehehe so ne terz oder quinte runter, je nachdem

thanks i really enjoyed this and will check out your stuff. the restraint with the melodic stuff was great, and when the resonatey pad works its way in I was really feeling it. great progression.
