Martin Hirsch's project Deer can best be summed up as Detroit-influenced House that draws on found sounds, organic synths and engaging emotional tensions. Focussing on finely detailed fragments, Martin tries to create an acoustic space that equally suits headphones and an (open-minded) dancefloor.

Deer has played live across Europe, playing gigs with a diverse set of artists like Kangding Ray, Alva Noto, Deaf Center and Move D. Martin also runs the reborn record label Neo Ouija and is organising music festivals as part of the STFU collective.

His discography so far includes a remix for Metamatics on Hydrogen Dukebox and a collaboration with Norken for Combination Records, as well as various compilation contributions. He also releases on netlabels like Ekwal and Hippocamp, sometimes under the moniker of his experimental project "random noise productions". Deer's full-length debut album is currently in the final stages of production.
