From Newark, New Jersey, the multi-talented Douglas Malik Rogers started his journey with music at the young age of 7 by singing. By 13, Douglas and his mother moved to Augusta, Georgia. His ambition to finally put his skills to the test began full throttle while attending Georgia Southern University in 2002. It was at GSU where he'd begin to hone in on his talents which grew into writing, rapper and producing.

Since embarking on his quest, Wise has expanded his recording portfolio by working with producers such as Rel of TrakAtiks, Benny D. (super producer and Akon’s Official DJ), D. Focis and Dre Ellis (producers for Bobby Creekwater), recording artist Slimm Duddy of Warbuck Intl./Universal Motown, and B. Keyz. Currently, Wise is building his extensive catalog by continuing to write and log new tracks into his portfolio. He is currently working on an EP, The Pursuit of a Dream.

Wise allots his creativity to his style of flow. “I am inspired by an artists’ flow. Anyone can put together words that rhyme, but it takes a craftsman to do it with a crazy melody. Wording counts, but flow puts it all together,” says Wise.

This fresh, diverse, and lyrically gifted artist is sure to blaze a trail of originality, while remembering his purpose for why he continues to perform. “I love performing. It taps into my rare side...it’s like when Wise takes over, the only objective is to make you feel every word that is coming from my mouth.”
