I'm a producer/dj. Time spent between Sydney, Australia, and Berlin.
I have strange tech-house tunes and remixes released on labels like Om, Freerange, Get Physical, Dieb, Breakout Audio and Future Classic. Lots of 12"s vinyl and much more digitally...
I'm a big fan of spazzy, angular techno, proper naff R'N'B, and anything touched by the hands of Quincy Jones, Dr Dre, Keith Jarrat, Leonard Cohen or The Tord Gustavsen Trio. Oh, and King Tubby....
Labels like Contexterrior, Raw Fusion, M_NUS, Tuning Spork, ECM, False Tuned, Freerange....
Have played Panoramabar (BLN), Watergate (BLN), EXIT Festival in Serbia, Tribal Sessions (Leeds), Sankeys (Manchester)...blah...
Good times. Great taste. :)
quirktastik!
nice dubby flavors broheim...deep
Oh, and samples are random bits from travels in Europe, as well as weird-ass bits of r'n'b, found-sound, tuned and untuned percussion, offset with just a little smidgen of bass-tones, so not to clutter the mix too much, sonically. Would love to hear what others might have discovered as strategies for random-generation with some tailored elements. It certainly fascinates me...
@richardparker: Horror Inc! Yes, love them! Thanks for the gorgeous feedback - really inspirational for me. Expect more...I could listen to this semi-random stuff chug on for hours...I'm personally enamored by the way it just chews through time...wonderfully enjoyable to watch unfold :)
@drox: Pleasure is mine sir - thanks for all the kind words and feedback!
thanks for the kind words fellas. I rekon that there are actually a few little moments that could be cut up and looped into samples for more slamming stuff. BPB is, from memory, 126....let me know if you use any of it, otherwise enjoy! :) More to come....I hope the Vladislav Delay influences aren't TOO gratuitous? I love his stuff so much. All generated here using a bunch of found-sound snippets I've collected, and a number of randomisation settings for clips/triggers in Ableton - which is 'sequencing' a random kit I built using mentioned elements in Native Instruments Battery. Lots of fun.

@mrrogers: ahh, cheers guvna. Yeah, I admit I've heard it played out by djs a few times, and I'm not sure weather to run, or do some crazy crack-ho dance. It's sorta spazzy...;)
