as for complaints about piercing high-end - I hear it as well... mostly SNARE and HI-HATs are bit too overpowered in the upper end... seems like your monitors don't cut it... but don't worry, spectral analyzers will do the job perfectly ;)

@deepfocus: I noticed the same, can't really listen to the whole thing because of it :( I had to rip some of this intro to see what it was, there seems to me spiking the break/hihats @ 14,5KHz. That string sound is also very loud, it's nearly ear-pearcing.

@deepfocus: listening back, it seems to be at the end of the snare tail, but i think the hi-hats throughout are a bit sharp, maybe the very very top-end could do with being cut slightly.
