Carlos fell in love with music at the age of about 8, mixing tunes with cassette players at home at the age of 10. Carlos quickly understood the basics of beat matching and found the concept fascinating and rewarding. He started DJing for a radio station in Angola at the age of 15. He soon progressed to DJing at nightclubs but was too young to go alone so needed to be accompanied by an adult. He moved to the UK when he was 17 and has since won a couple of DJ competitions there. He plays a whole range of house music but specialises in soulful deep latin afro and minimal tech house. He has played for Galaxy FM alongside Norman Jay (UK) and Farley "Jackmaster" Funk (US). Carlos has been credited for mentoring a number of new DJs that are now doing well in Angola and has inspired a few others. Current residencies include RadioMorali.com and UrbanJazzRadio.net (Saturdays 15:00-17:00 UK/Portugal). His mixes have been described by fellow DJs as smooth and of the highest standards.
