The new SMOG Records compilation SMOG CIty Vol 2 is out today and one of my songs is part of the package! The compilation covers virtually every style of bass music making the rounds today and my track Scorcher Dub is the one holding it down for the reggae-tinged dubstep style.

This may be my first bit of music on the SMOG label, but I've been along for the ride since the get-go. Seven years ago I stepped on to the patio of Casey's Irish Pub in Downtown LA for the very first SMOG event and the first all-dubstep show in Los Angeles. On my way out at the end of the night I crossed paths with Drew Best, the promoter for the event and a guy I hit it off with right away. Our paths have been crossing ever since, from when I worked as the technology & design guy at Insomniac Events back in the day to our recent SMOG x Deceast collaboration events with people like Kryptic Minds and Biome. I've played for Drew and the SMOG crew at their events more times than I can count and have attended dozens of their shows every year since 2006. Today, I'm happy to take another step in linking up with this collective that has done so much for bass-driven electronic music in Los Angeles, across America, and around the world.

    I hope you enjoy!
