dead-lines-as-i-found-it
A cover of Skinny Puppy's 'Dead Lines' from the 'Bites' album.
This cover is really more of a literal re-creation of the original than a re-interpretation of it (the latter process being the usual route I take when doing covers). However, this project was more of a production exercise, in which I used a small number of software instruments to specifically re-create the sounds, sequences and production style of one of my all-time favorite songs. It was a great learning experience, and turned out better than I expected.
DAW: ableton live suite 8
Software Instruments: analog (ableton synth), g-force Minimonsta, g-force M-Tron Pro
drums were done with Ableton Drum Racks and samples
