Raised on a diet of punk, metal and orchestral music, DeadStringer spent his teens playing & teaching guitar, jamming in tiny bands that never amounted to anything and writing and studying classical music.

This was followed by an extended period of musical starvation. DeadStringer's guitar sat in it's case, only being liberated on occasion, to relieve boredom, but soon was re-incarcerated as a response to a lack of motivation and inspiration, and a decline in technical ability. DeadStringer's musical endeavours were over.

Then, in early 2012, after 8 years of musical abstinence, DeadStringer stumbled upon some old orchestral pieces he'd made and decided to try to make more in his spare time. So, he got hold of a DAW and set about composing more orchestral music. While learning how to use the DAW, it became apparent that it was capable of producing very complex sounds, which inspired DeadStringer to experiment with the various VST's, plugins and effects available. This quickly transformed into making electronic tracks, with orchestral elements and, thanks to a bit of research into modern electronic music, DeadStringer developed a passion for creating the dark ambient sounds he had always loved in metal and industrial music.

In June, 2012, DeadStringer discovered Looperman.com and set about incorporating vocals into his tracks, thanks to the wealth of creative and quality acapellas posted by users. And at the beginning of 2013, DeadStringer dusted off his guitar and started to incorporate his playing into his track, as well as using it to make loops for use by members of Looperman.com.

DeadStringer has no real musical aspirations, but is always happy to collaborate with like-minded artists, producers and performers.
