Dead Pixel's mascot's a dragon. You heard right, a fluffy freaking dragon! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7072458/
The Dead Pixel started out his musical journey early as a bit of a song bird from early age, always creating new melodies and recording them on his first ever instrument, a Yamaha keyboard, which he grew very fond of as a child. It wasn't until he was 15 that he decided to pick up on production as his sister introduced him to an Oslo based producer named "Water Flame". Inspired by this, as well as his sister's introduction towards him to a program called "Fruity Loops" (Now Image-Line FL Studio), the Pixel began his experimental years of noisemaking and pestering the living daylight ouf of his parents with his rather untraditional take on various genres like hardcore, glitch and braindance, which he had grown up on.
Death of the Pixel.
As his adult years rolled in, he attended one year of community college at "Trøndertun" in Trondheim, mid-Norway. And little did he know that this was going to change his life, and his musical image forever. Along with a fresh new understanding on mixing and mastering, as well as the beginning of his DJing career, he settled for a name that would forever identify with him and become synonymous with perfection: Dead Pixel.
It wasn't until one year later that he finally gained prominence through a label known as Gold Shore Records, who contacted him about signing as an artist. Jumping at the chance, this would then authenticate him as the original "Dead Pixel".
With several original releases and remixes through both Gold Shore and Progressive House World Wide, The Dead Pixel aims towards nothing but working with his craft and keeping his flame burning as brightly as when it was set ablaze in his early years. And with the sky as the limit, he's doing nothing short of just that.
His works can still be found rolling in on Soundcloud although the frequency of his releases reduces every now and then, showing that the young Norwegian prefers quality over quantity, and with a highly active Facebook page, as well as a Tumblr blog for whenever his nerves spark something fascinating, fans are never short on updates.
Or contact for that matter! As much as he loves talking about himself in third person, he also loves meeting new people ^-^
His DJing career never dampened for anything either, the Pixel now spinning live as Kragerø's "Galeien" nightclub as their resident DJ.
