Residing in Toronto, Deadly Vanity is comprised of Joel Waznicky and James MacGregor. A relationship that started in their hometown eventually grew while playing guitar in different bands and ultimately flourished when they started a band together.
Out of a necessity of growth they naturally gravitated towards electronic dance music, constantly finding themselves on dance floors across the city. The music's emotional expressiveness and endless sonic possibilities drove them to pursue djing and producing dance music of their own.
They've played numerous clubs in Toronto with some of the worlds biggest dj's; International: Footwork w/Robert Babicz, Parlour w/ Russ Yallop, Summerdaze w/ Justin James and Footwork again with Satoshi Tomiie. Local: Playing alongside Sean Roman, Alicia Hush, Nitin, and Nature of Music, as well as throwing various events of their own. They host an internet radio show on dubplate.fm entitled Dead Air. Deadly Vanity continues to work hard in their studio in pursuit of releasing their own productions.
