About
Dead black hearts is a 5 piece indie rock band based in Austin TX. They take musical influences from Wolf Parade, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, The Flaming Lips, and Bright Eyes. After releasing their first EP, 'Five Gallant Steeds', they played local and regional concerts opening for What Made Milwakee Famous, The Heartless bastards, and Electric Six among others. In 2009 the band took time off of performing live to record their second EP 'The Southern Front.' Mixed at Public Hi-Fi (Spoon, Mates of State, Black Joe Lewis) 'The Southern Front' was released digitally in 2010 with a physical release to come sometime in 2011. Dead black hearts is currently playing live shows in support of their new release and working on new material.
