About
Composer/Electronic Artist Daniel Capo is a Graduate student at Mills College in Oakland, California where he is pursuing his MFA in electronic music and recording Media.While at Mills, Daniel will be Interning at the CCM (Center for Contemporary Music) where he will record concerts and events and help students learn how to use and check out professional recording equipment. He also received his BM in piano performance at Stetson University as a student of internationally renowned pianist Michael Rickman. In addition to his studies in piano performance at Stetson, Daniel was heavily active in Stetson’s Music Composition program. He has worked closely with composers Sydney Hodkinson and Manuel de Murga and studied Computer Music with Nathan Wolek. Daniel is co-founder of New Music Machine, a Stetson campus organization whose mission is to educate, expose, and promote aspects of compositions created in the last 50 years. Many of Daniel’s own works have been premiered at Stetson University on the bi-yearly concert New Music by Stetson Composers. Recent performances include Degeneration, a prerecorded electronic music piece and Perpetual Motion, a piece for solo piano. His work has also been published in the Stetson University annual art publication Touchstone.
