Dan May - If (demo w/o vocals & slide)

Welcome! This is an original composition I wrote in 1996 and have been tweaking here and there in the years since then. I recall being especially influenced by Jimmy Page' "Bron-Yr-Aur" from the Physical Graffiti album and David Gilmour's acoustic work on Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" at the time. What you're hearing are three separate tracks, each performed in one take, recorded in about an hour in my garage one spring night this year using nothing more than my 15 year old left-handed Seagull SM-6 acoustic guitar, a 16-bit Blue Yeti USB mic and a Macbook laptop running Garageband '11 with a different reverb used for each track. I hope you enjoy what you hear. In between work and family, I am working on my next recording and will upload it here when I'm done. Please leave comments and thanks for listening!
