Dayne5150 was immersed in the EDM scene from its origins. His old school roots are the foundation he’s building an empire upon as CEO of Boise-based Knowledge Records and partner of E&L Productions. His diverse experience boasts playing massives such as Freaknight 2013 and sharing the stage with many big-name acts such as Zeds Dead, 12th Planet, Kill Paris, Krewella, Gramatik, and Figure.

Growing up in Seattle, he was introduced to the scene by his sister in ’93 and soon fell captive to the atmosphere of the culture and love of the music. This passion for the scene soon sparked and brought him to Las Vegas, where he started his own production company, “For Kids By Kids.”
He frequented events in Vegas and the LA area and began mixing himself in ’96. He was taught to learn all styles of electronic music to be more versatile in his sets. Mainly known for playing speed garage, deep progressive house, breaks, energy and trance, he made his way into the Vegas club scene.

After moving to Boise, ID he began throwing events of his own and works toward bringing big names to the area. He continues to mix and produce, now playing more big-room progressive house, acid/future/techno, and anything that feeds his crazy, creative energy. “I love the old school sounds, I grew up with them. I like taking the aspects of the old and mixing them with the new.”

EDM culture has been a foundational part of his life and he continues to carry this passion to future eras of the scene. “The scene and the music are always going to be there, regardless of popularity…The feelings I felt in ’93 will always drive me. Those feelings and moments are always being experienced over and over by each new generation in new ways, at new events, by new people. I believe it’s my job to help continue that tradition however I can, whether it be mixing, producing, or just educating younger generations. The love is still there because the music is still there.”
