David Stone is one of the veterans of Canada's dance music scene. Starting out as a resident at seminal Edmonton underground clubs Lush and Rebar, Stone quickly became a fixture at local parties in the 1990s, setting himself apart with a progressive sound that pushed the boundaries of the genre, with a flexibility that could work any crowd.
Today, Stone continues to play an active role as a performer and promoter across western Canada, directly supporting some of the biggest names in dance music, including David Guetta, Deadmau5, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Benny Benassi, and many more. His remix work includes two tracks for Canadian indie dance band Mass Choir, while his live sets are peppered with his own personal edits and exclusives. His experience on the decks, playing massive parties and small rooms alike, guarantee an exciting musical journey, full of melody, energy and joy.
In addition to his residencies at Y Afterhours and The Bower, Stone is the host of CJSR's popular Saturday night mix show BPM, as he provides the soundtrack to kick off the evening for clubbers in the capitol city. BPM airs every Saturday at 6-8PM MST on FM 88.5 Edmonton, and on the web at www.cjsr.com.
