Hello! I'm David Rondon a.k.a. Rombo!!! I have been working as a music producer, DJ, radio and TV Host for over 10 years. I live in Caracas, Venezuela and I hold a degree in audio engineering and Music Business from SAE Institute.
I’m a radio man. For over a decade I’ve being working for La Mega 107.3 FM in Caracas, the most renowned network radio station in my country, hosting and producing “Scratch” an eclectic music show where I ride from classic sounds to new trends or tunes that I like. Thanks to Scratch I've brought together young musicians to make music compilations of Venezuelan artists, leading them to achieve great commercial success while always betting on new sounds.
Music Journalism is and important part of my career. I made many TV reports, interviewing musicians like Richie Hawtin, Soulwax, Justice, Yelle, WhoMadeWho, The Horrors, The Roux, Mad Professor, Ewan Pearson, Rory Phillips among others for HBO Latin America and E! Entertainment Latin America. In the past I have work as a TV host for Sony Entertainment TV Latin America doing "Music News" and for RCTV (Venezuela) doing “Sonoclips”.
I’m the CEO and Editor in chief of www.cochinopop.com a music web with original content featuring news, reviews, music sessions and web shows of the Venezuelan and international music scene.
As DJ I work under the name of Rombo in the Venezuelan and international electronic music scene. Mixing in the best clubs of my country, sharing stage with DJ's like Felix Da Housecat, Miss Kittin, Hercules and Love Affair among others and traveling around the world to play in cities like Miami, St Barths, Barcelona, Madrid, Bogota and Aruba. For the past 5 years I have produce together with DJ Trujillo a soire call “VOYAGE” a French retro-futuristic music journey of sounds and pleasure, a sexy party where you can dance from disco to the newest trends.

- Producer for the British Council's Incubator program, designing strategies for the musical exchange between UK and Latin America.
- Spokesman of the Red Bull Music Academy, guiding new musicians on how they can participate in the academy doing tours nationally.
- International Young Music Entrepreneur finalist by The British Council.
- Coordinator of the Red Bull Music Academy Radio 2011 in Madrid.
