ENGLISH VERSION

David Lagon was born in Dijon, France, on the 5th of December 1973. Aged 10, David was introduced to music through the piano, which he played for a few years. But he was quickly drawn to electronic music and IT in general.

In order to reconcile these two different worlds, he joined a radio station (Radio Dijon Campus).
Soon, in 1991, aged only 16, he was given his first electronic radio show. Around the same time, he discovered the world of Hardcore.

During a party (la première Transeruption) in Grenoble, France, he discovered Liza’n Eliaz sets. It was a turning point.

David LAGON started to invest himself more and more in Hardcore music. He actively participated in the organisation of several parties and regularly mixed in the techno club “l’An-Fer”, in Dijon.

In 1994, things were in turmoil; he invested in his first machines, created his own pieces and signed his first productions under the label Radikal Groov Records.

His style became more precise, his uniqueness established itself when, 4 years later, he did it again – in collaboration with Christ of Noise – as part of an album (made of two vinyls: Amiga Tools Industry) which would come out under Liza’n Eliaz’ Belgian label.

In 1999, he came out with his last record “BreakBeat Tempest” under Provision Records.

David LAGON’s launch of a new maxi (EPILEPTIK 37) became a reality in 2006 in Versus with Entrophy Hardcore Brigade (DJs Nitric and Yoni Khan).

Finally, in 2009, David LAGON completed his last project and produced a title on the 2nd opus of the new label of Deathmaker (Provokation Records).

Ever since, David LAGON has kept on working actively towards the creation of new pieces…to be continued!

FRENCH VERSION

David LAGON découvre la musique grâce au piano à l’âge de 10 ans, et l’exerce pendant quelques années. Mais il est très vite attiré par la musique électronique et l’informatique en général.

Dans cette volonté de concilier ces deux univers, il intègre une radio associative (Radio Dijon Campus).
Puis très rapidement, en 1991, alors qu’il n’est âgé que de 16 ans (!) on lui confie sa première émission radio de musique électronique. A cette même période il découvre l’univers du Hardcore.

C’est à l’occasion d’une soirée (la première Transeruption) à Grenoble, qu’il découvre les sets de Liza’n Eliaz. C’est le déclic.

David LAGON s’investit alors de plus en plus dans la musique Hardcore, il participe activement à l’organisation de plusieurs soirées et mix régulièrement dans LA boite techno de Dijon : « l’An-Fer ».

En 1994, c’est l’effervescence, il investit dans ses premières machines, crée ses propres morceaux, et signe ses premières productions sous le label Radikal Groov Records.

Son style se précise, sa spécificité s’affirme, quand, 3 ans plus tard (en 1997), il récidive- en collaboration avec Christ of Noise - dans le cadre d’un album (constitué de deux vinyles : Amiga Tools Industry) qui sortira sur le label Belge de Liza’n Eliaz.

Puis en 1999, il sort son dernier disque « BreakBeat Tempest » sur Provision Records.

C'est en 2006 que David LAGON concrétise la sortie d'un nouveau maxi sur le Label Parisien EPILEPTIK RECORDS (EPK37) en Versus avec Entrophy Hardcore Brigade (DJ Nitric et Yoni Khan).

Enfin, en 2009, David LAGON finalise son dernier projet et sort un titre sur le 2ème opus du nouveau label de Deathmaker (Provokation Records).

Depuis, David LAGON continue à travailler activement à la création de nouveaux morceaux… à suivre !
