Since the age of 5, Dave Espionage has assembled various things around him to make noise.

After spending years tinkering in his room, Dave Espionage was given his name while in senior year of high school, playing in a band called Nice Guy Eddie.He was the only one who really wasn't that into ska, so they figured he was a spy.That and his real name is rather hard to pronounce.

While listening to heavy amounts of Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Coil, Genesis P. Orridge, Brian Eno and Deep Space Network, Dave teamed up with Shane Thompson and embarked on a journey into the realm of field recordings, poetry and distortion pedals.Wave Hello Machine was born, a project Shane continues currently (http://soundcloud.com/wave-hello-machine).

Many house parties and street festivals later, Dave bought turntables and buried himself under piles of Madonna and Detroit techno records.

A city transplant to Columbus and another band later, Dave was playing scratches and samples live with Megafauna.While that was great, playing at Bernies on a regular basis was not.

So Dave moved on, to djing with friends in the basement of Bernies. Of the trio that were absurdly irresponsible about the Tundra shows, Demetrius (MrDinosaur) decided to help Dave learn about things other than techno, progressive house, and indie tracks released by Astralwerks.

Dave liked jazz, and Demetrius liked jazz, so they played everything but jazz together.

Repeatedly trying to drop "Get By" by Talib Kweli into a set wherever and whenever even though everyone else was tired of the song.

Eventually, Dave and Demetrius ended up finding themselves playing house parties and social events on a regular basis, and became residents at a party called Sweatin'. They could stand the isolated naming no longer and decided that it was time to take their DJ monikers and form like Voltron into ... Dinosaur Espionage.

Two years and a trail of blood later, Demetrius moved to Chicago to decidedly ruin the fashion community by looking better than them.Dave remained in Columbus and somehow ended up doing events with ridiculously hard partying djs and performers such as Dave Nada, Tittsworth, Gil Mantera's Party Dream, Designer Drugs, Cassette, Molly Mollz, then running a weekly with CJ Townsend and DJ Moxy, and finally being voted in the top 10 of Columbus' DJ scene two years in a row.

The second year of top 10 voting came as a surprise because Dave had up and moved to Taiwan to learn Chinese, teach kids English, and learn exactly how much water his body could sweat out in a single minute.

From Taiwan, Dave is currently compiling mixes, plotting his overthrow of NYC (you don't overthrow NYC, NYC overthrows you.
