LLOM remastered Goddess Reprisal after listening to the track and hearing other drums and noise in there too. I really love this version. The sound of those skins is quality. Hope you enjoy this remix.

Lyrics: The Goddess Reprisal i've been putting in a lot of miles
to touch the sky and the ocean
      from vault to bedrock
clinging to pinnacles like a raven
      folded wing under scurrying skies
      down to the singing pebbles
an eel amongst each temporal undulation

my toes are lined with hard skin
      old blisters turn white
      (my snow capped toes)
      the veins are pronounced
      across the bones
every sore is a medal to me

up through the undergrowth, hanging vines
the humid air of limestone paths
      slippery with dark clay
the woodpeckers taping out their codes
      so alive it is still.

      there, in the woods
      the white sow runs
      her grunts soothe the trees
she is as big as a bull
with the grace of a finch
      her eyes flash
      green in the night

this wolf is padding the track
      he is alone, content
      for the mountain cast displays
      of sparks and fires
      clouds are vortexes of wonder
      animated sequences
      of lost stories
      of times he had
      yet to come

the old god faces stare down from
their roosts, the trees are stunning
      parasols , their leaves
and needles glowing in the stillness
      outside my window
      the oranges are

there is a rhythm to his stride

the mountain wears a diadem of gold
      each evening the birds
      bicker their love songs across
      the gorge, down from
the steeps, to the old walls
      and their secrets. eels
carouse the cold water of the
      river, their eyes are clear

now the swallows offer me their
rubies and the jay her fingers,
      gloriously speckled. the goddess
      will rise, pregnant
with white fire and cosmic sperm, she will
draw the waters close and the
      madness will be pronounced upon
      the kingdom of her reign

      the moon is a token
      of the goddess' reprise
      swollen and bloody

@Dave Migman: I have to agree with Michael here - I'd prefer the voice to be more upfront in the mix.

@LLOM: Me, I love them both, but I must admit, I really do like that extra boom and the sound of those skins, really LLOM it makes me salivate every time I hear that sound.

@swampmessiah: Very true man. I brought the intro volume up because some of the sounds I added were hiding the words. I didn't do that for the main part. I also felt the same way when comparing the two versions, the volume dynamics in the original are awesome. The words are the most important to me as well but my intention was to have the drums follow what is said. So I decided if you can still understand the words it'll be OK. Thanks very much for your comments I shall keep them in mind.

I like that the volume on your voice is more consistent between the two parts but would still like it turned up. I like the composition and arrangement but the primary interest, to me, is always your voice/words.
