    Here's an Eastern accented jazz mood piece from Paul, aka, Derek Cornett on guitar and myself on soprano sax. Paul's idea was to reference the connection between marijuana and jazz...definitely worth checking out the accompanying video for a laugh...

    I'm not sure about the connection...most of the greats abused substances of one sort or another. Take two trumpet players...Louis Armstrong was reputedly stoned every waking moment of his long life while Clifford Brown was a completely clean-living guy only to die young in a car smash....That's life. Anyway, the whole subject just makes me think of the bit in the Muppets when Zoot plays Smoke Gets in your Eyes and all this smoke starts billowing out of his sax...hence the picture.
