We started Dauphin 5 years ago as great friends with similar interests, only 16 years old at the time. Originally we were a group of musicians and producers experimenting with live recordings to make ambient up-tempo trip-hop. As various members went their separate ways the two of us have been producing together ever since, turning our attention to techno and trying to stamp some Dauphin on everything we make. Although our musical interests and influences are wide ranging, we always play our own tracks along with anything else that belongs to the genre, be it funky tech house or the darker side of minimal, as long as it fits and makes us happy. Each of the tracks that we make aspire to be fit for a Dauphin, tailored with clarity of precision, and stuffed with a feast of sound created from our growing collection of machines. 2009 sees our first release, on bullet:dodge records, with more material waiting to go.
