Today’s mix of the day has a suitably mysterious vibe considering it is only a few hours to All Hallows Eve coming from the equally enigmatic Dead Man’s Chest. The secret alternate ego of a talented producer from the world of drum and bass has had an already widely respected D&B career with releases on Good Looking Records, V Recordings, SGN Ltd, Creative Source and Integral amongst others. Noted for his modern, forward thinking style across many styles of Drum and bass we welcomed him to deliver this exclusive mix under the Dead Man’s Chest moniker to allow him to showcase his ability within mid tempo electronica.

Quoted as saying that he has chosen anonymity for this project to allow him to experiment with slower tempos freely and wishes to keep his identity a secret in addition to this exclusive mix he has also delivered a debut EP under the pseudonym entitled “Darkness at noon” on new imprint Heresy.

A four track effort that varies in its approach from old school house synth numbers to tribal, garage and post dubstep infused efforts we think this is an anonymous project that may really build up some momentum in the coming months. Now the question is – just who is Dead Man’s Chest?
