What is dasandyman ?
Dasandyman is a musical project that really started 2-3 years ago, it's a one man project, Sandy's project.
Sandy is french live in canada, in montreal (qc) that would explain the accent ;) , started as a guitar player in the early 90's and pretty fast was exposed to machines and since mix all kind of influences into his music.
First bands he was part of were mainly metal bands, and then turned only to industrial music in early 90's.

what are the main influences ?
definitely nine inch nails as main influence, then bands like fear factory, front line assembly, celldweller, aphex twin and pretty much a very large pannel of musicians.

What kind of music can you expect from dasandyman, what genre can it be labelled ?
I believe industrial genre is most fitting my personality tho it's mixed with lots of different components. Components like dubstep, electro, trance, acoustic rock, metal, electrocore, synthpop, etc. the most important is to create songs and all is made in order to serve a song instead of fitting a particular style where for example you have 10 same kind of songs in an album. So it's very organic in a way to be really classified as pure Industrial ... But i'm sure you will be able to define the music yourself, don't you ? ;) i try to mix catchy melodies and aggressive sounds together .

Why Peace Consciousness Anarchy as album title ?
Because it's the main components that this album is talking about. my interests as human being and songwriter are reflected into those 3 words. Last few years of my life i got lots of interest about freedom, meaning of life etc. mainly like everybody. As consciousness is expanding there are points that really captivate my attention and that i felt like sharing with others. The biggest things that shaped my belief system was to study about neuroscience, NLP, and all that is with the brain domain. I developed a passion for that and fact such as 95 to 99% of the human brain activity is unconscious really make me want to communicate about perception, nature of reality, etc. so Consciousness that we are not as conscious as we think we are :)
Quantum mechanics really is another part of my passions knowing that 99.99999% of matter is empty space is really mind blowing when you start to think about it, and the fact that even that 0.000001% is acting like a wave untill it is observed by a conscious observer, that make it act like a particle (the famous double slid experiment).
All those information led me to question the nature of reality itself (perceptive reality) and when you do that you are in the path to lots of interesting things. So consciousness (spiritual one) is often linked with the quantum world. Lots of people like Peter Russel, Amit Gosami or David Wilcock to an extent, shaped my understanding and my beliefs that led me to change lots of things in my life.
For example, i became vegetarian, i started to meditate and in the process of this album i kind of found some inner peace.
Therefore i also have lots of interest in the perceptive reality, politics is a real interesting subject and because i'm an anarchist as long as i can remember i tend to have views about personal freedom, etc that is not ... mainstream.
I sure studied many aspect of politics and i'm always fascinated by the conspiracy theories and such :)
It sure led me to grasp the idea about a ruling elite controlling governments etc. and my take on that is that anarchy is the only way to go. By anarchy i don't refer at it as chaos (distortion of the word) but as the need of self governance where individual is more important that anything else. A human life is the most precious thing and the most important thing to consider. There as well i have my heroes such as Stefan Molyneux, Adam Kokesh and even if they mainly are anarcho-capitalists i like the minds of such guys. I wouldn't put myself in anarcho capitalism family ... i don't think a free market could really be that good for the planet. Anyway Anarchy is peace because it lets everybody free and i know that it's hard to grasp after al those years of indoctrination by the state and the fear mongering that we NEED to be controlled, etc. Real Anarchists are peaceful and want to live in a society of free will and free participation without having a gun in your head to force you to obey stupid laws created to enforce the control of corporations.
We do live in a corporationist system, it's a sad fact and we need to understand the perceptive reality we experience in order to gain awareness and take back the freedom we should have before we get enslaved by our birth certificate (and the creation of the strawman also putting a value on us in the bonds market as we are the collateral used by the governments selling bonds - but ... google that ;) ).
In this album i also talk about relationships in few songs because you write those kind of songs when an event is affecting your life, taking like a snapshot of that moment to make peace with it.

How this album was produced ?
All is home made, and with very cheap material, A pc, cubase 5 , many plugins and virtual instruments, real guitars of course. So no big production here.
