Darkvibe Recordings has been pushing its way into the limelight since 2005 and has gathered a wide range fan base from its variety of listeners, and after much persistance pushing out the demos has gained much respect from some of the most successful dj's around the globe.

A big help in the label getting off the ground and keeping up the spirits in good and bad times started close to home at a local radio station RawFM 107.9 which is also connected to some top dj's all willing to play a white label in support of new talent or a new label, so bigup guys you no who you are! Finally Darkvibe Recordings launched in sept 2008 and has shown to prove itself worthy selling in over 40 different countrys in the first month of trading,

As for the future of Darkvibe Recordings we are aiming to keep producing high quality recordings to support the darker sound of drum n bass and build a stronger relationship with distributors eventually pressing 12" vinyl.

We also strive to build a good relationship with the buyers to the point that they see the label logo on a new release and know that its going to be a good release without the need of a demonstration.

ARTIST PROFILES

PLEX
(aka) Kevin Wilkins the man behind Darkvibe Recordings, a producer caught in between two worlds of drum n bass madness, fusing raw jungalist break beats with eerie futuristic synths and fx creating his own unique noticeable style which is now being widely recognized and highly rated on the D+B circuit, "I think the whole concept for my music works ok because I am always floating between my favorite styles of D+B," explains Kevin. "I feel that this way makes my tunes sound different every time because there is so much more you can do combining styles then sticking to one specific sound." Since the early 90's Kevin has watched the drum n bass industry grow and categorize itself in to a wide variety of styles, "Over the last few years I have been listening to artists such as bad company, sub focus, and pendulum and also artists I know personally such as blame, kotp and seba on (720-degrees) and find myself somewhere in the middle, but of course being a 720-degrees artist myself there will always be room for some of that spaced out atmospheric sound to crash in with my heavy break beats and basses."

DRUM AND BASS REPUBLIC

Conflict and Shortcut established DBR in 2002 and signed to Darkvibe Recordings in september 2008, however, they have been on the Drum & Bass scene for the past 15 years, they started off doing their own nights in their home town of Luton, there promotion was called code black, this was back in 1996 - 1998. Since then they have moved onto concentrating more on producing & promoting the DBR name getting dj's to play their tracks djing and doing planet bass events in Luton. They have been going from strength to strength ever since repping the deeper side of Drum & Bass, these guys are going places.

VTECH
A drum'n'bass producer and DJ from Finland. He signed to Darkvibe Recordings in september 2008, However, he originally started around '96 with trackers producing hardcore and acid. Gradually moving from trackers to professional audio software, he also switched to producing aggressive drum'n'bass for the dance floor. I started DJing around 10 years ago playing gigs in Finland,"explains vtech" i also hosted a weekly internet drum'n'bass radio show with the PLBreaks DJ collective for several years, The same collective then started a monthly DNB club in Helsinki, playing out the full spectrum of broken beats.

GHOST
This drum n bass producer from Leeds has been pushing his music around the dnb circuit for a long time now promoting his dancefloor sound.I have been producing music for around 8 years "explains ghost" and was drawn in to the world of drum and bass after a head rushing night out to probably the best club in europe "Fabric".My biggest influences include Andy C, Ed Rush & Optical, Matrix, and more recently Spor and Noisia.Im in to all sub genres of drum and bass but my own production focuses on the darker side of the scene.
