A little song to praise that special someone in your life...
Crumbs, this is refreshing and fabulous. So nice to hear dark, bold and marching hatred. The lyrics are fab and the marching trumpets/tubas and timpani sounds are ace. Little bit of bitterness before bed to send me off to sleep! ;-)
Fabulous. Kind of like "These boots are made for walkin'" done by Volg boatmen.
love this ... full of great lines and germanic feel of the stomp is delicious.
hahaha... love song indeed. I hope for your sake that this wasn't written in reference to an actual person/set of events. Either way I'm very glad it was written. Outstanding as usual.
@Darius Greene: Ah.. nice. I love tubas, wish I could play one. I think it shines through in your arrangements anyway that you have real experience of those kind of instruments. One thing I'd really like to incorporate in my music more is brass instruments. Might ask you later what libraries you use.
Were you possessed by Tom Waits' spirit when you made this one? If so, I envy you.
@Narziss: Thank you! I had fun working on this one..
@itneverhappened: Thanks so much!
A simply awesome song and performance.
"The meanest shark that makes the ocean bleed!" Awesome line!
@itneverhappened: I used to be a pretty decent tuba player in junior high but I sure hated being the kid who had to carry around the huge frickin tuba on the bus, they didn't even let us pick our instruments! As for the orchestral ensemble of french horns here, those are virtual. I use a wide range of real instruments but when it comes to the full orchestral stuff, well I wish I had an orchestra in my closet but I don't ha. The main two sections of musical instruments I've yet to try to play much are winds, and bowed instruments. Both of which I'd love to if I could get my hands on any!
Another great track Darius, You've got to be one of the most unique artists on the cloud :)
Do you actually play any real brass instruments? They sound very real to me.
Haha. This is wonderful. That Stomp you do so well. And great lyrics and sounds. And I love the picture!
mysterious to me! good track! Smile!
@Samfranklin's 2d Page: Yes that's my little girl, thanks ;/ No I'm kidding I just snagged that offline, but thought it was kind of funny enough to use. Really appreciate the kind words on the song..
@Intrieri Theory: Thanks!
@honey-dark-slumber: Haha! Thank you, glad you think so. Little song with a somewhat big sound ha, trying to get back into the swing of things from some musical down time..feels good though just to play about!
@Joseph Houck: Thank you very kindly Joseph!! Did much work in the past day on this, something I"d began in part a long while back then picked up and took off a bit more.
Nice play on words...reminds me of some song, but cannot think of what it is! I enjoyed listening! You take care ..keep on writing!
Unreal, so amazing this instrumentation and supercool vocal and lyric.
Man, that's some cool instrumentation!
Love that intro!
This song is so good a musical ought to be written around it. The track art is thoughtfully chosen, too! Hope that's not your kid or even a distant relative!
@Heidi Harris: Haha, thanks, it's from an old school creepy bear squeezie toy...
Great Lyrics,nice one!
ha! that little toy noise was awesome :)
