Elements of Sound [Minimal, Tech... Temple of sophisticated, dynamic & pleasant Dance MusiC dO_ob ... Bravo ! [ Check full description ]
Michael Burns has been producing electronic music since 2002. Since then, he has released on prestigious labels such as Little Mountain, SAW Recordings, and featured tracks on compilations by Armin Van Buuren, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinenberg, and Nick Warren. You might also be familiar with Michael's work through his many aliases: Mic Burns, Blue Haze, Panoptic, Cardboard, and Gazor.
His signature style has earned him somewhat of a cult following throughout the years. The 'Michael Burns sound' can be defined as dreamy, atmospheric, and emotionally-charged music that dives straight into the soul. Perspectives Digital is proud to present two of the maestro's most sought-after masterpieces from deep within the archives.
'How To Escape Yourself' perfectly captures the nostalgic sound that defined the golden era of progressive house. Its menacing bassline is the perfect contrast to the heavenly melodies that are about to ensue. It's not long before the listener is swept in a whirlwind of beautiful and harmonious pads and synths.
'The Abstract' has a brighter tone that rounds out the package nicely after the dark and moody production that preceded it. Soulful male vocals playfully float above a funky bassline and monstrous kick drum. The result is a savory groove guaranteed to energize the entire dancefloor.

While some have waivered and become shitty over the years, you have not. Great work. Nice deep progressive house.
