ds first became interested in electronic music after listening to Radio1 Essential Mixes in the late 90s and after being given the chance to borrow some turntables from a friend, he became instantly addicted to them.

He soon purchased a pair of Technics 1210s and began playing harder edged electronic music, influenced heavily at the time by the sounds of PVD, M.I.K.E, and Andy Farley to name but a few.

Following the CDJ revolution, ds invested in a pair of Pioneer CDJ 1000s and at around the same time, his style matured as he started playing techno combined with many of the sub-genres of house.

In 2009 after being inspired by advancements in technology, ds made the switch to digital djing and after trialling both Serato and Traktor, opted for Traktor Scratch Pro.

From getting his first taste of playing out at the Sundissential pre-bar many years ago, ds has since played for brands and venues all over the Midlands including the local brand 'Habit' and the legendary Custard Factory venue.

After receiving many positive reviews for his mixes (available to download from http://www.dansheldon.co.uk), ds plans to concentrate on both the techno and deep house sounds that he loves so much, frequently combining the two in his sets to great effect.

2010 looks to be an exciting year for ds as he has already been booked to play for the world famous 'Miss Moneypenny's' and received recognition from the prestigious Manchester brand 'Micron'.
