this is ridiculous that you recreated this song. you really know your stuff. you can take this wherever you want to now that you've got the arrangement down. looking forward to seeing what sounds you pick for the final version. maybe it would be cool to do a REALLY old version that makes the original sound like an update of a classic tune from the early 1900's

@mutagene: Thanks! Actually the delay was modeled after the original version's delay, and multiple people complimented me on how closely it matched the original (which honestly wasn't completely intentional).

Was impressed with how quickly you knocked this up. It's a difficult challenge IMO trying to improve on the original and/or Hot Butter's version. On headphones I think I'd prefer your mix with less delay on the lead, but it sounds good over my laptop's speakers... so what do I know. I'd prefer a more radical interpretation, but that's just me.

I think this is pretty good actually as a first draft. Sounds very faithful to the original.
