Daniel S. A. Englisch (03-03-1974), born and raised in Amsterdam, comes from a musical family; my father John Englisch, professional pianist, arranger and conductor, my mother Loes Englisch, singer, Tim Englisch, my brother, singer, bass player, tattoo artist and graphic design and sister, Madelon Englisch, singer and bass guitar.

He is drawn from a young age to new musical styles and art in general. It started in the early eighties with the introduction of electric boogie, break dance, hip hop, graffity and making cut and paste tapes.
In 1987 he got in touch with house music via Radio 100 and took that sound to school where some later great Dutch house dj's were amazed of this "new" sound. Not much later he met Bas aka dj Wizz who was a house dj at that time and tought Daniël the fine arts of spinning. In 1990 he bought his first decks and started playing house and techno under the name of dj Diablo.
At this time he also followed a studio course at the National Audio Institute in Haarlem to gain some knowledge for his own music production, but it was only untill early '99 that he would bring this knowledge to serious use with Solid Fundamental, a band formed of friends (Daniel, Bas, Joera and Karel). They performed at Hotel Arena - Amsterdam (for Underground Heaven), Simplon - Groningen (semi finals GPNL), Amuse theatre (for Properbeats), Catacomb studio's and The Spot on the beach of Zandvoort. On the end of 2003 they split up and Karel & Daniel went on together and formed Eclectric; an electronic live-act with influences fromtechno, break beats, hip hop and drum 'n'bass. They performed live on the beach of Zandvoort that summer and had a gig at W139 (in the basement of club 11, Amsterdam) and created some tracks with Dutch rap artist Mohs. They've had their first vinyl release in 2004 on Solid Fundamental recs (SF promo 001; "aint wanna do shit"), with tracks by Solid Fundamental, Joera and Eclectric. From end of 2005 Daniel went solo with his productions and had a fresh new start with an outside electronic music festival from the Undergrounded organisation on the 7th of July 2007. Since then he played live at parties for Switch Music, Les & More, dj cafe Decadenz, Vaaghuyzen, Code 21, Pand 14, Cue Bar, de Effenaar and What is on your mind?
As a dj he played at many clubs like club Mazzo, Paradiso, Time, Melkweg, Lichtfabriek, Fun Factory, Graan Silo, the Catacombs, AMP studio's, Trance Buddha, festivals like New Frontier, Hellraiser, Dance Valley and later the Wooferland parties (old school house parties), several radio stations (including Radio 100) and in countries like France, Yugoslavia, China and Israel. He also played drum and bass for some time under the name of dj Deadly D for Fresh with a lot of illegal parties, Paradiso, Melkweg and a residence at club Mazzo.
Daniel founded Nightbreed, formed in 1993 together with Bas aka dj Wizz amongst others, with the first party in Het Rotaanhuis (now club More), warehouse parties in Houten & The Catacomb Studio's and later on Underground Heaven, a techno organisation formed in 1999 with dj Ziv Avriel from Israel, with parties in club Mazzo, Time, Hempoint (illegal ware house party), Hotel Arena, The Spot etc.

From beginning of 2009 dj's Ziv Avriel and Diablo started their own label called Defuse Records with artists: Ziv Avriel, Diablo, Rustig, Juriaan, Lukas Pauka, Ritzi Lee and Eclectric. Styles range from minimal techno to tech-house to techno and progressive tech. Supported by Dave Clarke, Bas Mooy, Vince Watson, Drumcomplex, Rirzi Lee, Jerome Krom and more.

Last year (2011) a new Dutch house label was born: Cosmic Disco Records, run by Daniel Englisch (Diablo, Amsterdam) and Willem de Poorter (Adjust, Eindhoven). The main styles are house and techhouse. Deep, funky and groovy. Daniel and Willem also formed the new live house duo Zweistein. The label and their featured artists allready got support from artists like Paco Osuna, Robert Owens, Hermanez, Mihai Popoviciu, Michel de Hey, Daniel Sanchez, Sergio Fernandez, Sasch BBC, Maor Levi, Vince Watson, Sunshine Jones, Darin Epsilon, Mikalogic, Max-E-Groove, Kiko Martinez, Nic Fanciulli and more.
