I got a Make Noise Pressure Points for my modular synth the other day. It doesn't make any sounds itself, and I suspect that I could have made everything here without it. But the point is that I probably would not have. It really very quickly changes the way I think about controlling sounds and setting off events.
Here we have the Hertz Donut making the sounds, driven through the Model 12 filter in most cases, but sometimes through the Z2040 low pass. The Malekko Oscillator is in LFO mode with its frequency modulated by an upside-down ADSR envelope. The LFO is wobbling the frequency of the filter. Because the envelope is upside-down, this causes the wobble to start slowly and then speed up. Like a spring. The PP is patched so that one of its voltages controls the freq of the Donut, the pressure modulates the same frequency, and its gate sets off the envelope that wobbles the sound. This gate also triggers the Z8000 which creates an offset for the filter frequency.
These sounds are all chopped off of a long 30+ minute recording. Feel free to use them (just give me a shout out).
