When I was 12, I used to bug the guys at the music store by hanging around the synth room messing with the Moogs for hours. Later, I fell for the likes of Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, Vince Clarke, Depeche Mode, and yes, Duran Duran. Fast forward to 2003 when a colleague showed me Reason v2.5. When he flipped around to the cables, I was sold. Now it's Solvent, Autechre, ISAN, Mouse on Mars, Lali Puna and Radiohead that make me go.

@movainio: Nah your friend is crazy. The vocals, mumbly and all, are good. Vocoders make weak vocals works of robot genius. Atomicanna has it: keep them mumbly, make vocoder louder. Like a sad machine.
