Damjan Eltech began his obsession with music when he was only 14 years old. After a year of active work as a tone editor on the radio “SRG” during 2001 until 2002, he buys his first pair of CD players and goes straight to the world of clubbing. His DJ era begins in a club called “2” in 2003. where working as a resident DJ he has followed all trends of electronic sound. And as time passed by his interest for Tech – House and Techno was growing. But actually he was going in a direction of a harder sound.
During the 2004. and 2005. year he used to play exclusively techno music all around Serbia.
By the end of 2007., Damjan lowers the pitch when it comes to music selection and commits his work to easier sound and more minimalistic rhythm where techno is still dominant, but minimal is the basic.
Precise mix, interesting technique and a good music selection make sets of this DJ very easy for listening. What makes him special and different is a constant experiment during the sets, either using a good technique or effects and loops. The atmosphere which is dominant in these sets is surely different and recognizable.
Besides his DJ work, Eltech is involved in producing music, areas of minimal and techno music with a bit of deep and tech tones. He also stands behind of the project named Basic M (Basic Minimal) under which produces music, more of a purer minimal or as he said “Music which stops being music and starts being technology.”
Whit his team, Urban Forces he works for four years now and behind this organization are numerous successful parties and projects on the field of urban culture. It’s important to point out that this organization has been working and projecting parties on Exile (Serbian club), during the summer of 2007. and after that, serials like Escape and Losing Control parties on terrace of Beogradjanka, Chill out With Urban Forces….
Recently Damjan Eltech got involved with the project named Cube which consist of four members form different fields of club art. They work on audio and video production inside Cube studio, located on the seventh floor of BIGZ.
