Forming in early 2009 and hailing from their home town of Maidstone in Kent, Dakosa, Dave (Dready) Marsh, Mike (Kemikal) Craske & Leo (Soulific) Tomlinson , are rising stars within the Drum & Bass scene.
Having had releases on Med School Commercial Suicide, Inneractive Music, Deep Soul Music, Mau5trap, Shadybrain, Qilin Music, Broken Audio, Silk Recordings, Digilab & Diffrent Music, these guys are starting to turn heads and have already caught the eye of DJ's like Doc Scott, Marcus Intalex, Loxy, Klute, Spirit, SpectraSoul, Rockwell, Data, Nymfo, S.P.Y, Outrage, June Miller and the talented D&B young gun Anile.
Although newly formed as Dakosa, their musical paths have crossed on numerous ocassions in the past as far back as '98 when Dave & Mike shared a residencey at a local Dance music night. At this time Dave was also a resident at legendary D&B night Pure Science (a night frequented by both Leo & Mike) and reguarly DJ'd at events up and down the country like Heat, Dreamscape, One Nation, Jungle Fever, AWOL ,Epidemik & Breakin Science to name a few.
While at the same time, Mike was studying music courses and DJing at local events within the House scene which is where he met Leo. The two had a mutal passion for Drum & Bass and on & off over the years would lay the foundation for Dakosa.
Moving forward to 2005, and at a time when D&B nights in kent were few and far between, Leo was a key player in starting the Liquid Sessions. A night which still runs strong today and is influential in bringing quality D&B back to kent. Dave was also a resident at these events from the start.
As for the future, the trio are looking to maintain the contact already established with the labels releasing their material at the moment as well as seeking new ones. A possible few colabs in the pipeline and some podcasts and radio mixes as well.
