Tien Ren - Gibson 335 Guitar/Marshall Amplification & Programming
David Boland - Fender Precision Bass/Trace Elliot Amplification & Vocals:
Tien Ren - better known as fifty percent of the 2003 electronica duo Lien - has snuck stealthily back into the fold with David Boland to perform and produce Dahlia FX.

Tien Ren first met Dave Boland back in the 1990's and went on to work together for a brief moment with drummer Sam Christie. Dave moved up to Wales with Sam forming Manzello - they recorded & produced several albums.

While all this was happening in Wales, Tien had produced his self titled solo album as part of a contractual agreement (that his former band Lien had not completed) with Skool Records. Lien had split after a disagreement over miss-management of a Levis Jeans contract so still very much involved in music, Tien was asked to work with Jamie Reynolds on his project which eventually became the Klaxons.

Lien reformed for one more album in 2010, as a personal celebration of the anniversary release date of the first Lien album called "Matica". The new album called "The Pantone Diary" was completed and released that year.

Dave Boland was offered work in Berlin but needed an up to date demo of his work. He met up with Tien during the Christmas holidays and was impressed with the new direction Lien had taken so the duo decided to put something together that also showed off Dave's skills as a Bass player/Vocalist

Now "Dahlia FX" started to grow.....

Sam was impressed with the results and has offered the occasional bit of advise regarding percussion while also keeping busy in and around Wales doing session work for the likes of "Cast" with producer John Leckie. Sam also filmed and produced the Dahlia FX promo videos for Ghost Lights & Stone Cold Silver.

All Dahlia FX tracks are composed, played and recorded by Tien and Dave.
Additional vocals on 'Ice Moon Europa' & 'Dreamer Mea Culpa' performed
by Sapphire Patterson Zeitouni, the band are now looking for a drummer for live gigs.
