BIO:
Born to composer and choreographer parents, brothers Ben and Josh grew up surrounded by performances, rehearsals, festivals and symphonies. Being teenagers in the early 90's they progressed into experimental rock/indy bands while at the same time keeping up with the classical music commitments to their bands and symphonies. It was following their first visit to a techno show at an underground venue in Toronto 1997 that they realized what musical path they wanted to pursue. Starting first with DJi'ng and promotion they progressed into building their own studio. In 2006, getting comfortable with the production end, they brought about the formation of their production and performance project Daega Sound System. Producing all forms of electronic, bass and dance music they perform as a Live duo and also a DJ duo. Laying a steady foundation with local performances at New Forms Festival, Shambhala and Bass Coast they have gone on to perform at Mutek and Dubloaded in Bristol. As well as heading up their own newly minted record label Fathom Recordings. In addition to digital releases on UK Garage and 2-Step legend Noodles (Groove Chronicles) label DPR, San Francisco's bass-centric Blipswitch and Noah Pred's techno/bass music label Thoughtless recordings they have 12" releases on out their own Fathom Recordings and Texas based label Formant Recordings. 2011 has seen releases on Mutek, Blipswitch and Echo Dub, with 2012 seeing releases slotted for DPR, CarCrashSet, Fathom and Crude Records.
