D*SouL Mass born Dumakude Masoka has been in the music scene for five years now; with his passion and love for house music he thought himself several dj’ying and producing techniques.

He humbly shares his sounds with whoever will lend an ear, giving his all to recreating and generating his own aspect on music, with objective to make the most out of his success.

He was influenced by his music collection of artists like Louie Vega, Ralf Gum, Mr. V, Vinni DA Vincy, Boddhi Satva, Osunlade, Alex Alvarez, Mzee, Black Coffee, Franck Roger, Glen Lewis, (The list goes on and on) and late legendary Fela Kuti.

He is classified as a versatile producer/DJ,in order to find something more suitable to ease his need for quality, with the music scene saturated with lots of talented producers/DJs it was very difficult to break into it.

D*SouL Mass as the stage name came after he realised that his passion, love, ambition, reliability and the enthusiasm for music isn’t gonna end. He lives life through music. D*SouL Mass now is building a huge and dedicated following, not just in his hometown of Ekurhuleni, but also across South Africa and abroad – his sounds reflect a rare versatility, with the mixture of dub, Deep Tech, lounge and deep soulful elements.

Late in 2010 he managed to impress 953 Recordings with his remix of “Playing with Knives and Forks” which was released on Beatport by White Label Records.

2011 is already looking as though as it is rising D*SouL Mass profile further still, with high schedule of remixes, which includes the “Ali Mans-Ch Feat. Jo-one – Rebels (D*SouL BoYCotting Dub)” which was released by MZK Work
