i still love this track.. i was inspired by the ticking clock and used a similar sound in one of my recent tracks.. anyhow, just thought i'd drop by for yet another listen to this nice 'old stone face' remix.

I think this track holds a lot of surprises & it keeps you wanting more which is all the trappings of a well constructed track........

well cyclotron, i for one am waiting for this track to wake up from sleeping mode.. i think you could also declare it 'finished' right now, it's so unique, and have a great song. i admit i keep checking back here to see what's going on which isn't bad since i keep listening to this and enjoy it every time. i don't think i've really heard anything quite like it. it's just really damn really nice.

i would even like to see the piece push further a bit. it starts so softly and patiently, that after this portion i almost want to return. this is just me obviously, as the piece is gorgeous and coherent, i just would love to hear this second portion almost be like opening a door into a separate room, and then refinding the space...

this scape is so peaceful. i love the clock sounds on the right channel. very visual piece, with incredible depth and clarity. a gorgeous breeze flows through this. brilliant....

i like the subtle changes, great stuff. I like the beat so much, espcially the little clock sounds or clock-winding sounds.

yeah, i say do away with the spoken word samples where you dont like em. The beginning sample is cool though, also the brush your teeth comb your hair bit. I love that part. I think by getting rid of the spoken word stuff, the song is a lot more fluid and emotional rather than cerebral.

... but afterall, this is your piece, go with how you feel. That last part is growing on me now, I'm likin it more and more.

...then right here, how you hold back on the instruments, concentrate on the beat. There's nothing repetitive about your percussion at all, i dig that a lot.

these sounds right here are great... part of that dynamism i keep saying...

yeah i see hear you about the detuned stuff, I like it too. Just that one part seems slightly disconnected from whats before it. All of the elements, the arrangement that is, has that dynamism which I mentioned earlier. Listening to this is like coming in and out of a dream.

mmm, i like what you are saying parmon about time and its dictatorship. I think you hit the nail on the head about how this song touches on that topic in a fun way. I'd love to hear what you do live cyclotron, I'm sure it would be no less dynamic than some of the best jazz of yesteryear. whether arranged or live, music for me at least is the prime way of experiencing the present, actualizing potential reality, waking it up... all perceptions, conceptions, and misconceptions of time, past, present, future dissolve to reveal this everlasting moment. I sure want to hear more of this song.

time brings the illusion of structuring our chaotic surrounding and on the other hand it's dictating some of our ways. You did catch this topic in a fun way. I like to hear that track.

But again to the topic live-tracks vs. arranged tracks... i think, that live tracks match you and your personality much better than arranged tracks. Then you catch one moment and spirit of your life and not the 'concept' of an arranged track.. With live tracks you could also experience the ways of breaking out this given 'dctatorship' of time.

@cyclotron: freaking amazing. That sample of "eat your breakfeast, comb your hair etc." made me laugh. Percussion is awesome
