Five new world road champions, a soon-to-be-confirmed Aussie Pro Continental team, a newly elected president of the UCI, and, for the very first time, a women's vice president sets up shop in Aigle...

In the world of cycling, the last week's been anything other than ordinary.

Alex Hinds once again takes to the hot seat, ably supported by Sarah van Boheemen and Anthony Tan to dissect the topics affecting our multi-coloured world on wheels.

First up, the trio relive their finest moments in the under-23 men's and elite women's and men's road races, before going local, talking Tour of Tasmania and the recent spate of signings from Pro Conti-bound outfit Drapac, musing over who will fire and who will flop.

Of course, no discourse would be complete without some mention of profuse politicking and the farcical events in Florence that culminated in a 24-18 victory to Brian Cookson, thereby inheriting the throne that is cycling’s top job – a poisoned chalice or a new beginning?
