For the 9th Cut release, and the first of 2012, Existance (the talented Louis Hunt from Oxford) brings us a 3-track selection of deep dubstep-influenced tracks.
Taking a clear nod from the classic sound of dubstep, as well as continuing the emotive sounds of our existing Cut catalogue, Louis brings us three excellent pieces from the vocal-led "Miles Apart" to the piano-driven bliss of Pelennor Fields.
His sample, synth, bass and drum selections fit very well together, and his ear for a great melody and strong but not overbearing bassline is evident on the EP.
Like a selection of our previous output, Existance provides us something that we can happily listen to on headphones, yet something equally at home in the DJ bag for warming up the dance.
