Gruff Rhys - Shark Ridden Waters

Gruff Rhys gets about it; when he's not working with his very own Super Furry Animals he can be found in Neon Neon, making odd-ball records with Tony Da Gatorra or lending his vocal talents to the likes of Gorrilaz or Boom Bip. Those that prefer Gruff's output to be a little more self-centred are in luck, as he has just announced he is to release an as yet untiled follow up to 2007's Dandylion. Smattered with samples, found sounds and one of the most infectious bass lines you've heard all week, Shark Ridden Waters is a slinky groove that reminds us that Gruff Rhys is more than capable of going it alone.
