About

Cuefx (Jacek Latoń) – producer, composer, arranger, DJ.
In 2010, Cuefx made his debut with the record “70 BPM”. Musically speaking, ’70 BPM’ is a fusion of abstract hip-hop, dubstep, electronic and noise music, with 70 beats per minute as a common denominator of the 10 tunes on the record. It is available in a digital version (itunes, beatport, juno, discogs) as well as a Digipack CD:

In cooperation with Export Label, Cuefx released 2 singles in 2011:

1. Natural Thing - http://exportlabel.blogspot.com/2011/07/cuefx-natural-thing.html
2. Whale - http://exportlabel.blogspot.com/2011/07/cuefx-whale-feat doministry.html
(+4 remixes of renowned Polish and foreign producers, and a bonus track ‘Mellow Tide’)

Currently, Cuefx has just released his second solo album entitled ‘International Post – War Chill’. The main concept of the record is a fusion of jazz, contemporary club electronic music, abstraction and so-called ‘feel music’, compiled using samples recorded by live musicians – Dominik Strycharski, Aleksander Papierz and Tomasz Barzec to list just a few. We can also listen to some special guests
– DJ Jazzbin and professor Tadeusz Slawek – the dean of the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia, whose speech was used in one of the tunes. Michal Rosa Rosicki is responsible for mastering – he is one of the best sound designers in Poland. The record is filled with unpredictabilities, a variety of instruments and voices, thus creating a story which needs to be heard from the beginning till the end with full concentration.

Cuefx is currently concentrating on developing the Cuefx Trio with Agnieszka Twardoch and Radek Janik - we are working on an album with modern club style with elements of jazz.

Bandfx won the competition organised by the internet portal nowamuzyka.pl, whose first prize was to perform as a support before DJ Krush during the New Music Festival in 2006.

The band recorded 2 CDs:
