Crossbeat is a musical collaboration between Sherien Holail and Dries Merre. Their music emphasizes deep hypnotizing basslines and vivid percussion, accompanied by atmospheric synthesizers as well as analogue instruments. This very distinct combination of analog and digital sounds allows their musical venture to touch the boundaries of different genres such as downtempo, idm and trip-hop. They apply open production methodes, sampling field recordings, engineering own sounds and integrating vocals as well as acoustic instruments. After try-outs in late 2011, Cossbeat also performs live using a variety of instruments and electronic tools.
