Stats for this track
"As a DJ and a label owner Eneis sound encapsulates all that is great about the essence of this genre. A formidable mixture of rolling drums, floor shaking bass and attitude. Whilst retaining a deft touch. I'm incredibly proud that Critical is able to release this album from one of the scenes most exciting talents" - Kasra (Critical Music)
Since bursting onto the drum & bass scene back in 2008, the uber-talented young Russian upstart Alexey Egorchenkov has become one of the hottest properties in electronic bass music. Better known as Enei, his brand of forward thinking musical muscle has featured heavily ever since in the sets of Kasra. Friction, Andy C and many more, and in 2011 Kasra snapped him up to become Critical’s first ever exclusive signing. A name on the tip of most tongues, Enei’s debut album has been the talk of the D&B town and is now finally ready to unveil as we head towards the close of 2012. ‘Machines’ is set to catapult Enei to new heights, a long player of devastating proportions full of incredible bass-wayed angst, vocal masterpieces and production that’s second to none. Get ready for the sound of the ‘Machines’, the most anticipated drum & bass album of 2012 and you’re about to find out why.
Digital bundle includes 4 exclusive Digital Only tracks - Movin Fast (june Miller rmx) / Rotate / Situation ft. G.Yates / Stonehead VIP
Starting as he means to go on the title track is as the name suggests a terrifying adventure into the cold baron lands of deepest Russia. Designed to move any dance floor, ‘Machines’ sets the standard.
02. THE MOMENT ft. DRS
Drawing in the vocal talents of Manchester’s prolific DRS is a master stroke for this deadly slice of rolling D&B that delivers with low-slung bass and cool reversed edits. Badness to the bone.
03. 2012 ft. EASTCOLORS
Teaming up with longtime collaborator Eastcolors, ‘2012’ continues down Enei’s tech-infused route with sensational breakdowns that let us catch our breat before the next onslaught arrives...and it soon does.
04. RUNNIN ft. GEORGIA YATES
Changing tact as the skies lighten for the ethereal sounds of the beautiful chanteuse Georgia Yates, ‘Runnin’’ is exactly that. Twinkling pianos glisten as the bass takes a hold and carries us away along this mesmerizing journey. A real show stopper.
Changing moods once more Enei reaches for his most heavy studio artillery and drops one of the biggest dance floor bombs of the year. Heinous, sick, nasty are just three words that describe this absolute belter. You’ve been warned.
This curiously titled gem sees Enei harking back to the rave days of yesteryear with hardcore stabs and dubbed out vocals that echo over the top. It’s twisted, rugged and you’re gonna love it.
07. I DON'T KNOw
Bringing things down ‘I Don’t Know’ shows a whole new side to Enei. Cool, lo-fi percussion and future electro synth pushes it along with smooth pads that wash away the bad times, soothing the soul.
08. SALIGIA ft. KEMO
A creeping cinematic intro kicks things off before the familiar tones of Kemo destroy the silence and in smacks the biggest amen break as we go oh so very old-school. We dare you not to move to this total smasher!
09. THIN LINE
Stripping it down a little Enei allows some respite as he makes for some sparse arrangement and experimental fx taking us slightly to the leftfield. A deft touch without a doubt.
10. CRACKER VIP ft. EASTCOLORS & NOEL
His biggest track originally released back in 2011 gets the VIP treatment and having demolished clubs all over for the past 6 months it’s at last available for the hoards of fans to get their own hands on. One very big bag of awesome.
Finishing off in understated style is the finely tuned ‘Trainchaser’ that leaves us in no doubt Enei has just delivered the killer blow to complete one of the most dangerous debut albums to have emerged in recent times.
