About

Growing up in the rough and tumble streets of suburban Duxbury, Massachusetts, felons Roman Perry and Pat Flynn, have taken their knowledge of thug life and crime and have given birth to a project called Crime Pays. Roman Perry, who just was just released from a stint at Rikers, has been DJing since 2009.

Pat Flynn, previously known as PD-Killa, discovered music production and making beats while on house arrest a number of years ago. Since then Flynn, who had been offered an initiation with the Crips, has found something that has kindly pulled him away from his previously desired life style.

After years of turmoil, hustling, and theft, Perry and Flynn looked to music as an escape from the unwelcoming perils of the hood. In an effort to elude a life of incarceration, the pair looked to such artists as Justice, Boyz Noize, The Bloody Beetroots, and Crookers as a means of inspiration. Since then, the two have cleaned up their act and put down the 9mms and come together in a collaboration ironically titled Crime Pays. Crime Pays, which pulls sounds from rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and The Who, come as close to heavy Rock n Roll as electronic music can get. Crime Pays has created a sound that integrates Dubstep, Funk, Disco, Rock n Roll, and Hard Electro. When they’re not cruising around town on hydraulics scoping out ho’s, they’re in the studio pushing the limits of electronic music. Although Perry and Flynn have left thug life behind, they still up hold the motto: Fuck Bitches, Get Money.
